In Stitches, or: What a Lovely Day for a Youtube

I find watching people knit extraordinarily fascinating. The knitters themselves they fail to understand, but that's merely because they are not Executive Producer Level Donors to the Theatre in My Mind®. Were they free enough with their liquid assets to be awarded this prestige, they would be allowed the concomitant privilege of watching the movies... in my... head. For example, should the knitter make a mistake and have to pull some stitches out, even just one or two, I am invariably reminded of the below:

While we're on the subject of what's going on in my mind, and not too far removed from the subject of Looney Tunes. This is probably the most effective anti-depressant in the world:

Now you see? No matter how big your problems might seem, they do not (most likely) involve a frustratingly stage-frightened amphibian... or Nyarlathotep the Crawling Chaos.

Is it true that this cartoon is the only one to feature this famous amphibian? If so, he must be the most popular "one-off" cartoon character of all time.
What if Nyarlathotep the Crawling Chaos is a frustratingly stage-frightened amphibian? I know a lot of those elder god type figures are notably slimy and pseudo-aquatic.
One of my favortie things about HP Lovecraft is that music makes him uncomfortable; if I remember correctly, Nyarlathotep is never hits the town unless he's accompanied by his retinue of idiot pipers. Have you read the music of eric zann? - solo violin partitas are almost as terrifying as shadows out of time, I take it - and, according to Lovecraft, almost as likely to drive you insane!
I don't think Nyarlathotep suffers from stage fright, however.
It's too bad Lovecraft didn't live a little longer - he could have had Nyarlathotep lounging at the center of the universe listening to twelve-tone compositions. Now that would be crawling chaos indeed!
As long as I'm on the subject, should you ever happen to acquire the new mountain goats record - which, I believe, is on your encyclopedic music to acquire list- I beg you to send me the track "Lovecraft in Brooklyn"!
I'd be glad to donate to the Theatre in Your Mind, but only if I get a chair with a cupholder.
